Experience

At COCHE, Angela Hui developed and validated three MATLAB beamforming algorithms, improving ultrasound image signal-to-noise ratio by 400%. She facilitated cross-functional team integration of these techniques and boosted data collection by 140% during weekly clinical trials at Queen Mary Hospital.

During a three-month internship, Angela optimized an experimental assay for automatic spectroscopic analyses on chromophores using a motor, data acquisition system, and LabVIEW, earning a top-three ranking in a poster presentation competition. She independently developed a high-accuracy AI deep-learning model (96%) for determining chemical compositions utilizing TensorFlow and Anaconda.

Contributed to half of the functionality and implemented real-time data fetching, login-logout functions with authentication using jsonwebtoken, and database integration.

Study Progress

Currently majoring in the Enrichment Stream in Theoretical Physics with a minor in Computer Science. Her concentration in Computational and Data Physics is complemented by relevant coursework in data structures, and algorithms, equipping her with strong analytical and computational skills.

Planned to take courses in Thermal and Statistical Physics, Data Science and Observational Astrophysics, and Software Engineering.
